Hockey Player Manpreet Singh, a dynamic midfielder hailing from Jalandhar, Punjab, has been a vital pillar of Indian field hockey for more than a decade. Representing the Punjab Armed Police, he has also led the Indian national team with remarkable distinction. Since his senior debut in 2011, Manpreet has amassed nearly 400 international caps & has been instrumental in India’s resurgence on the global stage. Under his leadership, the team secured a historic bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics—their first Olympic hockey medal since 1980. He also led India to a gold medal at the 2014 Asian Games & a silver at the 2022 edition. Additionally, he was instrumental in securing silver medals at the 2014 & 2022 Commonwealth Games & played a crucial role in several other podium finishes at major Asian tournaments.

Recognized for his leadership & consistent performance, Hockey Player Manpreet Singh became the first Indian to win the FIH Player of the Year award in 2019 & received the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2021. Known for his calm demeanour, inclusive team spirit, & relentless drive, he is admired both on & off the field. Growing up in a sporting family & training at the Surjit Hockey Academy, Manpreet overcame personal adversity to stay committed to the game. Off the field, he enjoys Punjabi & Bollywood music & gaming, & has even expressed interest in acting post-retirement.
