Amit Rohidas, a talented Hockey Player, hails from Saunamara in Odisha’s Sundergarh district, a region known for producing hockey talent. Trained at the Panposh Sports Hostel in Rourkela, he initially started as a forward before switching to defence under the mentorship of coach Bijay Lakra. This transformation set the stage for his ascent in Indian hockey. After a brief dip in form, his performances on international tours, especially in Europe, helped him solidify his spot in the team.

Known as one of the world’s best first-rushers, Hockey Player Amit combines speed, strength, & fearless tackling to break up drag-flicks & scoring threats. With over 200 international caps & 28 goals, he has remained a reliable pillar in India’s defensive lineup. His contributions have earned him major honours, including the Arjuna Award in 2021 & the Pargat Singh Defender of the Year Award in 2024. A two-time Olympic bronze medallist (Tokyo 2020 & Paris 2024), he has also played key roles in India’s medal-winning campaigns at the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, & various international tournaments.
